The first step to eating more sustainably is to increase your intake of plants, including vegetables, fruits, beans and nuts, and to eat a wider variety of these foods. Farming the same plants en masse is bad for the environment and, according to the WWF, 75% of the world’s food supply comes from just 12 plants (and five animal species).
